I Get Excited When I Give

I get excited when I give. A very special person’s birthday was coming up and all I could think of is “how would I make this day special?”, “how would i make it unforgettable?”, “what can I do that nobody has ever done before?”.

It’s obvious that everyone likes receiving gifts. I do too. A lot. But there is something unique in the process of wracking your brain on what to give. I’m one of those people who prefer hand-made gifts or gifts that actually mean something to you and the person you are giving a gift to. It makes so much more sense. It has so much more meaning. And it’s incredibly fun researching, brainstorming, and finally implementing all your crazy ideas.

I find ‘giving activities’ is a perfect gift. Life experiences are so much more memorable than material gifts. They stay with you for the rest of your life (if it was done right :). Your body and soul remember how you felt, who you were with, what you ate. The smells, the views, the Experiences.

There is a certain type of fulfillment you get when giving something. Sharing a story, helping a lost person find their way, clarifying something for your classmate. It feels good to give. So, GIVE!

P.S. Happy Birthday to the person who I want to experience so much more with, xo
