Spring Is Here
There is something so special about the time when you start feeling that spring is coming…
It usually happens somewhere mid-march and you just can’t stop but smile once you step outside your house. One day you can just feel it. The spring is here. The air is different from what it was yesterday, it is much softer and warmer, the wind does not make you squeeze yourself oh so tightly just to get warm; on the opposite, you close your eyes and breathe in… Yeah.. That’s SPRING.
As any living creature on this planet I wait for the earth to wake up and start growing those green leaves again and dressing up in cherry blossoms… oh those just make me so happy. The days become longer, it’s light when you wake up and go to work, it’s still light when you come home from work (what could be better?). Here in Vancouver spring also means more sunshine. It’s hard to survive without the latter, trust me.
What’s the point of all of the above you’d ask? Gratefulness. I am grateful for another spring coming my way. I am grateful to be alive and able to breathe in the fresh and new air. I am grateful to see the Earth come to life again. I am grateful to be alive myself.
βIs the spring coming?” he said. “What is it like?”…
“It is the sun shining on the rain and the rain falling on the sunshine…β
