How to Pull Off Sneaker Trend

September has been spoiling us with nice weather. And it’s not too late to try this look. The weather during the day is still kind to us: it’s mostly sunny and quite warm. Mornings and nights become chillier, which allows us to bring out our favourite jackets and footwear.

This look is inspired by the trend that seems to have taken over the world: sneakers with everything. I still have a love-hate relationship with the concept, but this look I absolutely love.

Side note: I really love seeing fashion being as fearless as ever with a strong and sound “I don’t give a F” attitude. Models are not about 90-60-90 anymore — edginess, authenticity and personality are celebrated and prized so much more than just a pretty face and a killer body. Fashion world and people overall are more open and eager to experiment, which is really great.

The key to pulling off the sneaker trend is finding what works for you and the right pair of sneakers. I’ve searched for these white Pumas for a long time and I think they work perfectly with this smart casual outfit.

If your workplace is forgiving,  you can wear this look to work and then throw some heels in the evening and take it from day to night effortlessly.

The sneaker trend is a part of the big mix and match movement. Another aspect of it comes through in the jewelry: gold and silver together are not taboo anymore and I like the playfulness the accessories add to the outfit. Here I chose a simple gold necklace that instantly elongates the body and a silver bracelet.

A bright purse adds a pop of colour in an attempt to make the summer last longer. Don’t give up bright colours in the fall!

Xoxo,

Sasha
