Winter Blues

This post is all about the bomber I have a crush on. I love its the feminine floral print that somehow works on a sporty item like bomber, precariously balancing on the edge of high fashion and athleisure.

I’m a sucker for unique items. I believe that through those your personality truly shines, they become staple pieces in your wardrobe and just a joy to wear. Usually, these gems can’t be found at the big box retailers and you have to look for them.

I came across this bright printed beauty at the local Vancouver boutique on West 4th – one of my favourite shopping streets in one of my favourite neighbourhoods – magic was bound to happen.

A bright item like this bomber draws all the attention to itself, so I recommend going simple and monochrome for the rest of your outfit.

Here I had the pair of blue shorts that were almost the same shade as the bomber, so I threw them on and accentuated the red details of the bomber with a bold red lip. The rest of the outfit is plain black acting as a buffer for all the bright goodness.

Enjoy playing with colour, especially during the gloomy winter months! Plus, thankfully, Vancouver weather is almost always permitting of wearing shorts (with tights, of course!)
