Baby Blues Are not Only for Summer

Gloomy days are inevitable in fall, especially in Vancouver. When can be a better time to wear something in contrast?

Majority of what we see on the streets this time of year is the sea of black and grey. I like these colors; grey is actually my favorite color, but during this time I feel especially in need of some light and more color.

This outfit still has the season favorite grey – my most coziest turtleneck dress. I love it, especially when I crave extra comfort and warmth. It is an oversized one and is meant to be worn as is. But you can always style it with a belt if looking for something a tad more fitted.

Over the dress I wore this baby blue coat – the color is still in the cool tones family, but at least it’s not dark.

See how it instantly lightens and brightens the outfit and your surroundings?

I wrote about this before, but color really matters. It does help us feel a bit more cheerful during the gloomy months.

On my feet I wore boots that are just below the knee. This length is perfect as it’s still comfortable, but also warm and covers the back of your legs, so you can run around stress-free when it’s raining. Can’t ignore the fact that it’s raining a lot in Vancouver, duh. 🙂 They are also not black, but dark navy – an awesome alternative to the traditional black.
