Cool Gypsy Vibes in Shirt with Embroidery
It smells like spring in the air, even though Vancouver is still very cold and windy. Soul is begging for more sun, fun and warm colors: rose, coral, peach, pink, red (even if it’s just in details)!
Embroidery usually associates with feminine dresses, skirts or jackets, but, like with everything in fashion, it doesn’t have to be. The shirt that is the star of this post is definitely on the edgier and less feminine side.
Initially, I grabbed this shirt because of it’s military green color – I’ve been wanting something like this for a while. But when I noticed an awesome Japan-inspired embroidery on the back, I was sold for sure. As you know, I am a sucker for unique and unexpected detailing. And what could be more fun than this kind of fun on the back? π
The color and print on the shirt got me also felling “cool gypsy” vibes (sure, let’s make it a thing now), so for this outfit I tucked the shirt into high-waisted jeans (the cool part) and put hoop earring on (the gypsy part).
To show the earrings off and so they don’t get lost in my hair, I also put my hair in a low bun – and I like how it looks, because the hair also doesn’t cover the embroidery on the back!
For the shoes for this kind of look I would recommend either simple black booties or something with more of a cowboy/rock’n’roll vibe – higher black or brown boots with studs or tribal/floral pattern.
Enjoy playing gypsy! π
P.S I haven’t been to Japan yet, but it is definitely on the top of my list of places to go; especially during sakura blooming season! Have you been?
Xx
