Cozy Knits
We’re back to rain and wet cold here in Vancouver and layers and knits come back into force!
In this look plain white knitted sweater is the star. I love cozy knits – their texture always gives a solid color (like white) a nice playfulness. I also really like collars on sweaters like this: no need to wear a scarf if it’s chilly outside.
Over top I threw on a bright big necklace – made with wool fulling technique – mama’s gift. Because the necklace steals the accessory spotlight in this look, I chose to not wear earrings, but play with the rings instead.
I love rings and usually bring them from my travels. They are an easy, small collectable item that is also useful! You’ll wear them and they will remind you of the places you have been. This big ring is not something I wear often, but it is from my trip to Sicily 3 years ago – a trip very dear to me. I stumbled upon the ring in a corner shop that carried souvenirs, gifts and also had a whole shelf full of handmade jewelry.
I chose to keep the bottom of the outfit dark and stormy – black and white has always been one of my favourite combos! These booties from TOMS are the best for running around and still giving you that lift with the small chunky heels.
