Vancouver Fashion Week OOTD
Fashion weeks exist, in my opinion, to showcase local and international talent, to celebrate creativity and the beautiful art of garment crafting.
I always get very inspired by how far young designers come outside the box and am happy to see Vancouver Fashion Week growing and and diversifying each season!
For the Opening Gala outfit this year I chose to showcase my home country talent – beautiful young designer Irida Husainova. For those of you who are in Moscow, definitely check out her showroom in the FLACON design zavod.
Irida’s brand HI ART is very feminine, yet edgy – something very close to my heart and style. Each piece is one of a kind, very unique and perfectly fitted.
The dress I’m wearing is simple in colour and material, which doesn’t distract from the beautiful lines and the overall shape of the piece. I added a wide belt to accentuate the waist, just because that’s what I like to do.
To play along with the soft/hard aesthetic I paired the dress with netted tights and chunky heeled booties, which go in contrast with the rather classic hair and make-up – old hollywood-esque waves, slight winged eyeliner and a red-tinted lip.
